This Privacy Policy explains how FinTaxolite (“we”, “us”) collects, uses and protects personal data when you visit fintaxolite.com, contact us, or use our accounting, tax and compliance services. We follow India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and handle client financial information with the care expected by our US clients.
1. What we collect
- Details you give us: your name, email address, phone or WhatsApp number, whether you are a business, CPA firm, NRI or individual, the service you need, and the message you send through our contact form, email, phone or WhatsApp.
- Client records: when you engage us, the books, statements and documents you share so we can do the work. These are covered by your engagement letter.
- Technical data: your IP address, browser type and pages visited, collected by our hosting provider’s logs and essential cookies, to keep the website secure and working.
Please do not send Social Security numbers, PAN, Aadhaar, passwords or bank account details through the website form. We will give you a secure way to share sensitive documents once we start working together.
2. How we use it
- To reply to your enquiry, prepare a quote and arrange a consultation
- To deliver the services you engage us for and communicate with you about them
- To meet legal, tax and record-keeping obligations
- To keep our website and systems secure
We do not sell your personal data. We do not send marketing messages without your consent, and you can opt out at any time.
3. Who we share it with
- Service providers who help us run our business, such as website hosting and email, under confidentiality obligations
- Professionals you ask us to work with, such as your CPA or enrolled agent in the US, or a registered trademark agent or advocate in India
- Government or regulatory authorities, when the law requires it or when you instruct us to file on your behalf
For US tax return information, we obtain your written consent before any disclosure or use that requires it under Section 7216 of the US Internal Revenue Code.
4. Where your data is processed
We work from India. If you are outside India, your data will be transferred to and processed in India, and may be stored with service providers in other countries. We take reasonable steps to protect it wherever it is processed.
5. How long we keep it
We keep enquiries that do not become engagements for up to 24 months. We keep client records for as long as the engagement lasts and afterwards for the period required by applicable tax, accounting and company laws.
6. How we protect it
We use accountant-level access instead of shared passwords, multi-factor authentication, encrypted file exchange and a written information security plan modelled on IRS Publication 4557 and the FTC Safeguards Rule. Access is limited to people who need it for your work.
7. Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct, complete, update or erase your personal data, withdraw your consent, or nominate someone to exercise these rights for you. Withdrawing consent does not affect work already done or records we must keep by law. To make a request or raise a grievance, email us at fintaxolite@gmail.com. We will respond within the time required by law, and you may also approach the Data Protection Board of India.
8. Cookies
Our website uses only the cookies needed for it to work and stay secure. If we add analytics or other cookies in future, we will update this policy.
9. Children
Our website and services are not directed at children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data online.
